[What's this? It seems there's a 'Gear on the ground, and the little gadget appears to be recording something. What it is isn't clear at first. ...At least, until the sound of a Delibird's chirping and a Mareep's frantic attempts to wake its master up enter the feed.

Eventually, there's some shuffling around, and a noise that sounds like whoever's on the other end of the line groaning as he gets up, and the feed moves around for a moment...before -- well, doesn't that beat all. There was no light; no wonder it looked like the video feed was off. Looks like this returning, gray-haired boy has woken up in a cave somewhere in Johto...and it's probably not the place to be for a would-be reclaimer of his breeding center who's still getting his bearings back.

Eventually, he shines what little light he has on himself.]

...This is Souji...is there anyone out there able to help? I'm...not entirely sure what just happened, but it looks like I've ended up somewhere else.

Early February. As for where, I think I was around Mahogany before I ended up in here.

[At least he doesn't look like he's panicking. Souji looks around briefly, trying to see through the pitch black, before trying to feel out the wall closest to him.] Any safety precautions you can suggest while I'm stuck? Because this looks like a place for tougher Pokemon to settle in...

Try to ally with a local Pokémon, or catch it if you have a free pokéball. They know their way around their territory, and their levels should match the rest of the wildlife.

[That's pretty much the only reason he got back to his house in less than a month.]

Allying with them shouldn't be that big an issue.

[Provided he can even see the blasted things without stumbling into them first and agitating them.]

Catching them, though, might be a bit out of the question...

You can always ask them to follow you until you can reach a Pokémart. Zidane reacted surprisingly positively to that idea.

You said you're someplace you didn't expect yourself to be, right? Usually, when people say that, they either got really drunk the night before, or they got mugged and dumped somewhere.
