5th Rainy Day [Written, filtered to anyone attending school/Action/Voice]
[It's been a busy few weeks for him--and considering that he's signed himself up for class recently, it's no surprise that he hasn't come out of his room every time he came back. Not that there was a lot of homework for him to be done, but he did have a habit of clearing out what needed doing when it was given to him instead of putting it off, like a certain partner of his would if he heard there was school here.
A year in Inaba did him a lot of good, that's for sure--it gave him practice on how to handle his time well enough to fit his friends in, and make room for himself. It also gave him ideas for what to do with his time here.
So when he gets up this morning, he sets up a filtered message for the lowerclassmen, because they'll surely be needing what he's putting up on offer in spite of the cold weather.]
If anyone needs help with a subject, I can come tutor you when I'm done at Seventh Heaven. Just let me know where you are.
[With that done, he goes off to deal with his business. Whoever's interested in bugging him can find him at the school during break time, decked out in, on top of his usual uniform, a purple scarf and jacket that...just screams 'weird taste' to whoever gets a good look. If that isn't suitable for them, they could also find him at Seventh Heaven still wearing said getup, or on his way home, trying to get back before the weather gets too bad.
Or they could just come bother him on the post he makes on the Journal network when he's back in his community building, that works too.]
I'd like to extend a welcome to the New Feathers that came in recently. My name is Seta Souji, and I'm willing to answer any questions you might have.
I also have a question for everyone--what do you do when it's too cold to head outside?
[action] Isn't it? 8P
Seta Souji. A pleasure, Savarin-san. [At least, he thinks that's this guy's surname...] Are you...the one that placed all of those orders?
[action]
[By the plates, it almost looks like he did indeed order one of everything...]
It's all really good, by the way. A little more than I'm used to but I think I can finish all of it.
[action]
Not to offend, or anything, but do you normally eat this much?
[action]
[He's kind of getting an inkling that this may have been a bad idea, now that he's not actually eating the food. Souji's expression certainly reinforces that.] Look, uh... guess I went kinda overboard. D'you know who runs this place? Maybe I can pay 'em back somehow.
[action]
Sanji-san is the owner. ...I think he's out at the moment, though. Maybe you could catch him when he returns.
[action]
[Meanwhile, the rest of the food is getting cold
not that it'll stop him from eating it.][action]
[...Part of him had a feeling that'd come up somewhere. It'd only seem more natural amongst his friends and anyone who recognized the japanese dialect.]
You could say that. '-san' is an honorific--it shows respect for the person you're talking to.
As for calling you by your surname...that's also a part of being polite where I'm from. Calling someone by their first name implies something else entirely.
[Though it probably doesn't translate well in any other language, he figures.]
[action]
...Ah, I got it! Hey, d'you work here or are you just a customer?
[action]
You could do that instead if you're more comfortable with first-name basis, Red-san. As for your question...I work here, actually. Why do you ask?
[action]
[At the very least, he's enthusiastic about it...]
[action]
We're a little short-handed, actually...so any help you can give out would be appreciated.
You might want to talk things out with Sanji-san, though, just to be safe.
[action]
Anyway, uh... [His gaze shifts between Souji and the rest of his ludicrous meal. This is so embarrassing.] I'm gonna get back to this for now.
[action]
[Even if there wasn't much else to dish up, maybe he could at least get him a drink or something.]
[action]
[He's just going to sit patiently, not touching any of that food yet. It'll do him good to be a bit more polite.]
[action]
[Not long after, he goes right to work; when he comes back, there's a glass full of it being placed there on his table, after he carefully rearranges some of the plates.
...Sure enough, he also sits down at said table himself. He has time to goof off--surely he could make the most of it. :|a]
I suppose you're one of the new arrivals this cycle?
[action]
[action]
[Not too long, basically--and yet he looks like he's taking this in better stride.] You'll want to get used to this place as soon as possible...it isn't exactly pleasant.
[action]
[He pauses, a forkful of steak at the ready.] Y'know, I'm still not sure what to make of 'em. They trapped us here, sure, but they're givin' us pretty nice livin' conditions. Could be a lot worse.
