3rd Rainy Day [Action/Voice]

[Well, now that the whole Kin'coran debacle is over, Souji finally has time to sit himself down and contemplate what's happened...and there's quite a bit to go over.

Rather, one specific detail that really made him cross...

...There were starving children out there, and they were liable to have been victimized by some of the experiments. Children, being used as part of the Malnosso's tests. Young boys and girls that were most likely scarred from the abuse they'd been put through at the hands of mad scientists. Frustration wasn't normally an emotion he would let himself feel, but this was one occasion where he'd let himself burn with it.

It hit too close to home, thanks to a certain bastard who callously had someone else drag his cousin into the TV. He didn't want to remember that fateful November evening, but this whole mess drove it into his face in the worst way possible.

He wished they would just mercifully send those poor souls home, instead of bringing them back to that damned enclosure.

It took him little time to decide what to do today; he was going to head out and get himself some fresh air. Maybe a walk will do him some good...and if he comes across anyone of interest, spending time getting to know them.

Not long after he returns, though, he sends out a message on the journal network.]

...Do you have any relatives back home?

[ She's about the same, if she would be paying attention.. but instead the surprise is more overwhelming when she's snapped out of her thoughts, and she quickly - and almost clumsily, just slightly - nods in greeting. ]

[...Okay, that voice is definitely familiar, but he can't place a name on it...maybe it'll come back to him soon enough. He approaches her.] Good day out, isn't it? [Some small talk should help him jog his memory...eventually.]

H-hmm, it is, the weather's still pretty nice.. we should at least try to enjoy the last bits of summer, don't you think?

[ She offers a tiny polite smile. ]

[A little nod, and a subtle smile of his own, distracting himself with the surroundings.] Mm. There's no reason not to, right?

Yes, we should enjoy it while it's still here, before it turns into fall and it gets colder again..

[ .. although.. she figures this is probably the time to bring up what she's thinking about, right? ] Um.. sorry, but I was wondering.. didn't we talk before?

Hmm.. [ she has to frown to think of it, really, and even then it takes a bit.. ] Ah! Wasn't it something like.. Souji-san, maybe?

[So she did remember, vague as it was. He smiles.] Yeah, that's it. And you were...Kaname-san, right?

Yes! Madoka Kaname, so that's right. .. It's.. been a while though, I'm sorry I didn't get another chance to talk to you earlier on..!

It's okay. We have the chance to now, don't we? [A smile--he really did have a knack for picking out the positive in situations, even if the last few weeks made it hard.]

.. Hmm! [ She smiles in return, nodding at the older guy. ]

I'm glad we got another chance then! A lot of people seem to leave here really often, so.. it means we're lucky to have even met again like this, I think.

I'd say so too. [He gets up, in a bit, still looking at her.] Do you want to go anywhere in particular? The forest, maybe? [Surely, they could both use a lot of peace and quiet...?]

Huh? [ she glances from their surroundings to him, blinking slowly. ] .. Would that be alright? I mean.. you wouldn't mind having me around for company? I haven't really gone to the forest often before..

I don't mind at all. [Kids were always one of Souji's weaknesses. Just ask his cousin. 8D]

He'll nod and take her hand, that smile still lingering. He looks about ready to take that first step.] Shall we, then?

[ It's okay, all the teenage guys in Luceti want Madoka apparently.

And ah-- hands holding, even?! It's a little surprising, but.. okay, he's just trying to be like a nice older brother, you can do this, Madoka!! She takes a small step forward, starting the walk. ]

Um.. Souji-san, do you do this more often? Walking all the way to the forest..

It's something he's made a habit of with his little sis. :3 He follows her footsteps, sticking by her side.] Sometimes. It helps me clear my head if there's too much going on.

He'll nod a little.] As long as it's peaceful, and it isn't raining.

Rain is a little peaceful though, isn't it? As long as you take an umbrella, I don't think it's too much of a problem.

I like either though. Every kind of weather has its own kind of mood it brings to the world, and it's so great to see..
